Supplies, comic con, Rise of Eldrazi and…. oh my!

A lot of you have become fans of the sleeves I’ve been producing. the quality is amazing and they wear like iron! Well good news!  Yesterday (just as I was taking off for California and the Comic Con here in Anaheim) my latest shipment of sleeves hit the loading dock at the distributor!  This first wave of commercial sleeves come in Black, Blue, Red, Green and White and 1 with custom art by John Matson. They’re in 50ct bags (might expand to 80s in the future if the demand is there!) and I’ve not set the MSRP on them yet, but expect the retail price on them to be competitive with Ultra Pro and Max.  We are working to get them into the distributors system and should be able to be shipped next week to stores.  So tell your stores to call ACD and ask for Legion Supplies new sleeves! We’ll have them at both Madison and Burnsville Misty Mountain Stores for this weekend if you want to be the first kid on the block to have the new stuff.

Speaking of this weekend!!! We’ve got prereleases happening in 4 states, including California in conjunction with the Wizard Word Comic Con in Anaheim. Event schedules are all up and under the Magic -> Prerelease subheading at the top up there ^. We’ve got midnight events in both Madison and Burnsville, which have been growing the last couple events, pushing over 100 players playing magic into the wee hours.

As previously mentioned I am in CA at the comic con this weekend, so if you’re one of those folks who only sees me at Pro Tours and dont get a chance to play in my events very often, come on out for a nice relaxed experience. there’s no Con fee to play games, just play in the prerelease and you aren’t obligated to do anything else.. BUT if you WANT to go see the con and all the stars and booths there, players who participate in any event this weekend can get a special $20 badge once you’ve paid for your event. what a great way to kill time between rounds!

Magic Nationals Qualifiers are posted (the web page is alittle ugly, I need to clean it up some, but all the basic info is there!). And what an opportunity for the Midwest. US Nationals was placed in Minneapolis this year (thanks WotC!). Columbus is as close as we got for a GP level event in the midwest, so having Nats here is pretty awesome. It’s later than normal this year, so be aware of that, but we’re working on a great side event schedule which will include the only Official Cruise Qualifier for MC3 as well as cash tournaments and another great “side event champion” sort of prize. WotC has mentioned to me that they might be sending me the computers for more online drafting IRL as we did at last years nats. We’ll hopefully get some word on that soon, as it was an awesome time last year, and with Brad “Fffreak/I made my name on Modo” nelson in our back yard, seems like a great way to run some stuff. We’ll have artist(s?) and gunslinger(s?) as usual so you can get your stuff signed and take your shot at beating down a Magic Personality.

Also don’t forget our MMS series coming up! We’ve got Des Moines the first of april and Madison Mid June. These events are getting bigger each one we run and there are 3 top level dealers there to buy/sell with you at each one! top 8 win free passes to Gen Con as well as cash! plus we’ve got boxes going down to top 16, for you “just missed it” guys.
